This policy explains what the DevYUG Academy website and student app collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect what we need to teach you and to keep your fee record straight — nothing else.
When you enquire or apply, we collect your name, mobile number, email address and the course you are interested in.
When you are enrolled, we hold your course, batch, fee record and payments, your attendance, and your marks in any test you sit.
If you pay by UPI and upload a screenshot as proof, we store that image until your payment is verified and for as long as our accounts require it.
The app stores a sign-in token on your device so you do not have to sign in every time. It does not read your contacts, your location, your messages or any other app's data.
To admit you, teach you, keep an attendance and fee record, mark your tests, and contact you about your course. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
The app asks for a photo or the camera only when you choose to upload a payment screenshot. The image is sent to us for that purpose and nothing else. If you never upload one, we never ask.
Our own staff, to do the work above. If you pay by card or net banking, the payment is handled by PayU, whose own privacy policy applies to that transaction; we receive only the result and a reference number, never your card details.
We do not use analytics or advertising services in the app.
Enquiries we did not enrol are kept for up to 24 months. Student records — fees, attendance, marks — are kept for as long as you are enrolled and for the period our accounts and tax rules require after that. You can ask us to delete what is not legally required at any time.
You can ask to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. Deletion can be requested inside the app under your profile, or from our website at /data-deletion, or by writing to us. We answer within 30 days.
Our courses are for students of 16 and over. If a student is under 18, a parent or guardian should read this policy with them and may contact us on their behalf.
The site and app are served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Payment credentials are never stored on your device or by our app.
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date on it.
